We Welcome You to Our Nursery!

Our nursery is located in the McCarty Early Learning Center across from the church on Oxford Avenue.

Staffing
Nursery workers are permanent, paid employees of the church. They provide our young children with the stability of knowing their caretakers and feeling secure in their care. The workers are trained professionals with current HRS licenses in child care and CPR, and all have attended the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Seminar required by the Diocese of  Florida. Parents of nursery age children, as well as youth over the age of 14, are encouraged to volunteer for an occasional Sunday to help greet, care for and play with the children.

Weekend Nursery
Nursery is provided every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Summer hours are 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) for children aged 3 months through 4 years. Nursery I is for newborns through approximately one year (or until walking); Nursery II is children ages 1 to 3 years. The nurseries are furnished with cribs, tables, chairs and suitable toys and play equipment. Contact Brooks Wilder at
brooks.wilder@gmail.com for more information.

Special Events Nursery
During special church-related events, a nursery is often provided. Availability and information about registration for special events will be advertised.

Registration
When your child enters the nursery for the first time, you will be given a registration form to complete which will become a part of your child’s record.

Sign In and Pick Up
Every time your child visits the nursery, you are
asked to sign in and give your location on the church campus and who will be picking up your child. Your child will not be released to anyone who is not at least 12 years old. Note--Parents must remain on the church/school property while their children are in the Nursery.

Personal Items
Please bring disposable diapers, wipes and bottles. Label diaper bags, clothing, bottles, etc. Please do  not allow your child to bring candy or gum to the nursery.

Illness
Please do not bring your child to the nursery if he/she has a cold, diarrhea or fever. If these symptoms develop after the parents have gone, the child will  be isolated and the parents will be notified.

Mothers Morning Out
During Summer months, the nursery is available on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.  The same Nursery guidelines apply to the program, except that the parent does not have to stay on campus.  Extra precautions are taken to ensure the safety of the child, and a release is required in case of an emergency.  The program is staffed with paid employees as well as volunteers.  This is an excellent opportunity for youth to gain service hours during the summer!
