EYC stands for Episcopal Youth Community, and it is the youth group for St Mark’s 7th-12th graders. St Mark’s EYC meets 5:30-7:30 p.m. most Sunday nights in the St Mark’s Youth Center on 2916 Ionic Avenue. At EYC, we have dinner, games, bible study, and prayer/worship. It’s a great time, and we encourage you to join us! Check the monthly calendar below for special events and times.
Our 2009-10 EYC Theme is “Become the kind of container that God can use…” , which comes from 2 Timothy 2:20-21, which states:
20-21In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets—some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage. Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.
This theme reminds us that we are God’s hands and feet here on Earth—and we need to be willing to humble ourselves to serve His purpose for us.
