In this sermon, The Rev. Charlie Holt reflects on his personal love story with his wife to introduce a biblical theme found throughout the Gospel of John: Jesus as a bridegroom seeking His bride. Using the story of the Samaritan woman at the well, he explains how people often mistake their deepest spiritual longing for material or relational needs. Holt argues that human hearts have a “God-shaped void” that cannot be satisfied by worldly things, but only by a relationship with God through Jesus. The message encourages listeners to recognize their spiritual thirst and find true fulfillment in faith and communion with Christ.
