“Known and Loved: The Heart God Desires” - 10am Traditional Eucharist

This sermon centers on God’s deep desire to be truly known and truly loved by His people, drawing from the prophet Hosea and Jesus’ interactions with Matthew, the hemorrhaging woman, and the synagogue ruler . It contrasts genuine faith and covenant love with the performative religion of the Pharisees, who were more concerned with appearances and rules than with knowing God’s heart. Through these encounters, the message shows that Jesus welcomes the broken, the outcast, and the desperate, seeing them with compassion and restoring them to dignity, healing, and relationship with God. Ultimately, the sermon challenges believers to push past the “fog” of public opinion, pride, and religious performance so they can truly know and love the Lord as He already knows and loves them.
