I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless
St. Mark's routinely prepares and serves meals to the residents of the I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless in downtown Jacksonville. On the days we help, volunteers arrive at 3:30 p.m. to prepare food. The shift last about 90 minutes. Volunteers must be 13 years or older to participate. Our parishioner lead is David Michal.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels provides well-balanced meals and other nutritional services to men and women who are elderly and homebound. St. Mark’s delivers meals in Route 7, which includes Riverside, Fairfax, Ortega, Lakeshore, Venetia and Lakeside. Meals on Wheels is as much about a kind word and a moment of our time as it is about the food. So frequently, those we serve are truly isolated and the gift of our time and a smile are as healing and important to them as the meal.
St. Mary's Episcopal Church (Cuba)
For more than 20 years, St. Mark's has cherished a sister parish relationship with St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Itabo, Cuba. Mission trips to Cuba enable parishioners to volunteer onsite. From afar, St. Mark’s ongoing financial support has provided critical renovations and additions to the church. St. Mark’s parishioners can support St. Mary’s by purchasing bookmarks/prayer cards and Cuban black bean soup mix often available in the bookstore or church office. Our parishioner lead is Cheryl Hardin.

St. Mark’s collects food throughout the year and holds an annual food drive to stock the pantry of St. Mary’s Mission. We also give back during the holidays through our Sharing Tree program. Our parishioner lead is Phil Rachels.
